Great radios, like the weather alert system on it. Very durable and long lasting battery. A great buy.
The one time we needed it during a camping trip, the batteries were run down after just a few hours on stand by. First off, you need to be licensed by the FCC to use the long range frequencies. Second, we have four units and we couldn't figure out how to get a one to one conversation going with out the flimsy piece of paper that's supposed to be a manual. Lastly, Why would you make them camouflage colored. I dropped on while climbing, the color did its job, it fumbled around looking for it.
These units are full features and getthe weather Stations to boot. Have usedthem for about a week with no problems.
